Every course has a story. This one changed the way I see the game.
THE ARCHIVE
OF MOTION
The Course
Championship layout demanding precision off the tee and creative approach shots into elevated greens.
The Conditions
Fast fairways, firm greens, and a wind that demands shotmaking at the highest level.
The Moment
That one shot, one hole, one sunset that makes the entire trip unforgettable.
The Trip
A week-long immersion into Dubai’s golf scene. Four courses, eight rounds, and a deep dive into what makes desert golf one of the most unique experiences in the sport.
Day by Day
Day 1-2: Arabian Ranches
Arrived jet-lagged but the 5 AM tee time cured that quickly. The early morning desert light is something else entirely — gold and pink across immaculate fairways.
Day 3-4: Dubai Hills
Two rounds at Dubai Hills with the Burj Khalifa as a backdrop. The course is as challenging as the views are distracting.
Day 5-6: The Els Club
Ernie Els’ signature course lives up to the name. Wide fairways that narrow at the landing zones, forcing you to think about every tee shot.
Day 7: Yas Links
Finished the trip at Yas Links in Abu Dhabi. A true links experience in the Arabian Gulf — the wind and pot bunkers were a fitting challenge to close out the week.
